What are the tie-breaking guidelines for WBJEE JELET result?

<p>In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in the examination, then the authorities will follow the tie-breaking guidelines to determine the merit rank. The order-wise tie-breaking rules have been listed paper-wise below.</p><p>Paper 1:</p><ul><li>Candidates with less negative in total will be given a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie still persists, then the candidates with more positive marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank.</li><li>In case the tie is not broken, then the candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie is still present, then the candidates with more positive marks in Physics will be given a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie is still not broken, then the candidates with less negative marks in Physics will be allotted a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie still persists, then the candidates with more positive marks in Chemistry will be given a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie is not broken, then the candidates with less negative marks in Chemistry will be given a higher rank.</li><li>Next, if the tie is still present, then the candidates with more positive marks in Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics engineering will be allotted a higher rank.</li><li>If the tie still persists, then the candidates with less negative marks in Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics engineering will be ranked higher.</li></ul><p>Paper II - Candidates with less negative in total will be given a higher rank.</p><p>If the tie still persists after applying all of the above mentioned guidelines, then the candidates who are older in age will be given a higher rank. Finally, if the tie is still not broken, then the rank will be decided by the application number in ascending order.</p>
