Hi, After clearing the MBA entrance exams, the next important step is to clear Group discussion and Personal interview rounds. Find below some tips for Group discussion: In most of the good colleges GDs are held on current topics related to sports, economics, business etc, so you need to be aware of all the latest current affairs, for this you should read news papers and magazines. GD is a team activity, so while participating you should express your views very clearly at the same time you also should give chance to others members in team to speak. It is always advisable to take initiative and speak first if you know about the topic, but if you are not aware of the topic you should listen to others first and then speak. As soon as you get to know the topic don't immediately start the discussion take 1-2 minutes time, jort down the points and then speak. While speaking in GD your tone should not be aggressive, it should be polite and humble. When the discussion is over, it would be good if you give the final conclusion on behalf of the group. in group discussion,try to jump into the arena taking the immediate opportunity extended.don't wait for long.make some dress rehearsals beforehand with some hot topics.dress in your best.brush up your communication skills with some role-play at home.practice your english almost every minute and assimilate everything into your system.
