What are the various career options for a B.Com graduate?

Hi, Just completing your graduation is not counted as having a great career. The most important question is which is the right course after B.Com for you? Since you have completed your graduation in commerce, I am assuming that you are interested in the field of accounting and therefore shall guide you to choose a career in the field of accounting. There are many more career options present for you in the field of finance as well. Chartered Accountant (CA): One of the most common careers that cross every commerce student's mind is CA. CA exams are conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) and requires one to clear 3 Examinations over the period of time that are CPT, IPCC and Final CA. Since you are done with your graduation, you are eligible to directly appear for IPCC which consists of two groups. After clearing one of the groups, a student is required to register for articleship with experienced CA's for a period of two and a half years. After clearing both groups of IPCC and successfully completing your articleship you can appear for Final CA. Final CA again has two groups and after clearing both the groups, you can proudly affix the words CA before your name. Masters of Commerce (M.Com):It is very common of students going for the Master’s degree in Commerce after completing B.Com. It is a two year program and you can pursue it from any of the recognized institutes. M.Com is a program that focuses on systematic study of accounting, business, finance, economics, statistics, taxation, marketing and management and therefore it gives insights about all the fields. Masters of Business Administration (MBA in Finance): A good career in MBA totally depends on the credibility of the institute that you are pursuing from. If you are an IIM student then success will follow you to your doorsteps but doing MBA from an ordinary and not much renowned institute will only add numbers to the list of unemployed MBAs. The results of your CAT exams determine the institute where you can pursue the MBA program. It is a two year program on completion of which you can easily get job in financial service sector.

Hi, If you are looking your career into commerce or finance related profile than I would recommend these options: Economics Honors BBA - finance or International business B.Com - Finance and accounting Out of three my choice will be Economics Hons and then pursue MBA finance from top B-school if you are keen to pursue CA CS or ICWA. After these degrees you can think of CFA or ACCA certification. Kindly do research on given topics.

Hello, Thanks for asking. There are too many career options available for B.Com Graduates depending on their interests. Most of the commerce students go with the CA & CS Studies. It is one of the best career options for commerce students but it takes too much time to complete the exams & become CA. So, you can also go with MBA or M.Com studies to grab a good job. But if you don't want to invest your time in studies & get a job, then you should prepare for Government Job Exams like: IBPS PO SBI PO SSC CGL IBPS RRB Railway RRB NTPC IBPS Clerk & many more exams are there for B.Com graduates.
