What are the various sports facilities offer at LPU?

LPU Jalandhar sports facilities are available for various games like cricket, football, boxing, basketball, etc. And many students of the university have achieved excellence in various sports. Indoor stadiums, library, gym, mess, etc. Are the LPU Phagwara facilities that are offered to the students. Recently, the Union Home Minister of India Shri Admit Shah gave away Khelo India University Games First Runners UP Trophy to Lovely Professional University. The occasion was the glittering closing ceremony of India's the largest sports festival- Khelo India University Games 2021 (KIUG-2021), held in Bengaluru (Karnataka). The LPU team won, the most, 51 medals (17 gold, 15 silver, 19 bronze); 19 medals ahead of the overall winner. These games are to serve as qualifiers for the World University Games, presently scheduled to be held in Chengdu, China. The 10-day second edition of the international framework of the games witnessed 20 sports competitions, with 3900 participants from 208 universities across India. LPU sports persons exhibited their excellence amid star participation including internationally acclaimed athletes and Olympians. Defending champions Panjab University Chandigarh finished third. Last year, eleven LPU students won Olympics medals including Neeraj Chopra, a Javelin Throw athlete who won a GOLD MEDAL for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 after 121 years! We are still in shock and numbed by the exhilarating and miraculous performance thrown by this LPU student who not only made us but the whole of INDIA proud!

The best way to find out is to go to the university's website, but I'm confident that whatever sport you enjoy, you'll find a club for it at LPU. As for the facilities, LPU is very well-known for its infrastructure and faculty, meaning that you will have all the equipment you need, plus the coaches and faculty at the university will also be able to guide you perfectly, throughout your training and practices. It also doesn't hurt that apart from the sports, you will also have great curriculum and academics as well. Lovely Professional University is sportsperson's HUB. LPU has sporting clubs in more than 24 different sports. There are large, well-kept open fields for outdoor games. The 'SHANTI DEVI MITTAL INDOOR STADIUM' at Lovely Professional University has an Olympic-standard swimming pool on campus. In addition to the swimming pool, there is a diving pool and a warming pool. LPU also has the best trainers to properly instruct students in a safe and secure environment.

Dear aspirant LPU campus is spread over 600+ acre with ample space for almost all kinds of games. LPU has set up Sports facilities like grounds for Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Table-Tennis and, Badminton. The university has 5 field playgrounds comprising of Cricket Ground, Hockey Ground, Football Ground. At LPU the students are well trained by experienced coaches. LPU has the largest and advanced multi-functional Indoor Sports Stadiums with world-class infrastructure, including an Olympic-size all-weather swimming pool. LPU has 20 Badminton Courts, Squash Courts, Shooting Range, Olympic Size Pool, Separate Diving Pool, Wrestling and Boxing Arena, state-of-the-art Gymnasium, and various sports facilities. LPU has football club of 250 members. LPU students have represented India at international level in various sports. Vikas Panwar, a Lovely Professional University student of MBA has bagged Silver Medal in American Football World Championship held at Catalunya, Spain. LPU's B.A. Student Neeraj Chopra created history by winning 'Gold Medal' at Tokyo Olympics 2020; whereas, M.A. Public Administration student Bajrang Punia won Bronze. Captained by LPU's MBA student Manpreet Singh, the Men's Hockey team also brought Bronze for the country. LPU campus has 5 playgrounds (157062 square meters) where cricket, football, hockey, basketball, boxing, volleyball, skating, snooker, indoor bowling and roller skating are played. Many sporting events of specific sports take place here: The university has Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Baseball, Softball, Ice Hockey, Kho-Kho, Athletics - Cross Country, Chess, Cricket, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, Tequila, Squash, Judo, Weightlifting and Powerlifting, Volleyball, Boxing, Air Pistol Shooting, archery, swimming. In addition to that, wrestling, boxing, ice hockey, rugby, kho-khot, baseball, fencing, squash and weightlifting are also practiced. Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium has various facilities under one roof including 6 racquetball courts, 1 basketball court, 3 volleyball courts, 12 badminton courts, 1 shooting range (25 lanes), 3 swimming pools, 1 fully equipped gym, weight lifting room, chess room, yoga room and aerobics room, taekwondo arena etc.

Let me answer this question. One of my friends told me that LPU is providing almost all types of facilities to its students. Also, LPU provides Scholarships for Sportsperson. Also, if you have played nationals before admission and that also at least 2 years prior, then you are eligible for a 100% Scholarship as well.
