As such there is not much that you need to consider by it if you really want to perceive character animation as the career choice it will be great if you can take some basic art class as it will really help you for your future prospect.There are many colleges and institute that you can approach:

Before get into animation, you need to do a self analysis like how creative you are. As long as you are a creative person in thinking then Animation is a good choice.
