IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, or IIIT Allahabad/Naya Raipur are among the top universities in the world for academic, professional, and international opportunities if you want a comprehensive, future-ready CSE programme with great placements and you have access to JEE or merit-based pathways.

If IITs are not an option, BITS Pilani, VIT Vellore, DTU, and Thapar Institute offer more affordable admissions, excellent returns, and industry exposure for similarly strong private-college setups.

Chandigarh University is considered a good option for B.Tech in CSE if you are ready to put in the effort. The campus has modern infrastructure, well-equipped labs, active student clubs, and plenty of hackathons and events. Placements are one of its the biggest highlights, with a large number of companies visiting every year and some students getting very high packages, even internationally. However, the fees are quite high, the faculty quality can be mixed, and classes are held in large batches, so personal attention is limited. The university is also strict with attendance and discipline. Overall, CU gives good opportunities for CSE
