What benefits are there of doing M.Tech CSE from IIT, Madras rather going for job? Though basic subject of CS is not much used in companies.

I'm currently in 6th semester of B.E CSE in TN engineering colleges. I'm preparing for GATE meanwhile I'm not able to learn new technologies. But getting strong in basics of computer science by preparing for GATE. Many of them said that won't help in companies, you should able to do more projects.

You may get a job in ISRO, DRDO, ONGC, BHEL, HEL, etc. Also, doing M.Tech is not a small thing. Also, IIT Madras is also a renowned government institute and a top college in India. So, I will suggest you to pursue M.Tech from IIT-Madras rather than looking for a job.

M.Tech shall open various avenues into Machine Learning, artificial intelligence, Robotics, Neural networks, Augmented Reality and Blockchain.
While doing a job you may not be able to get exposure to all above avenues, hence M.Tech is highly recommended from IIT Madras.
