The France health insurance for international students is quite comprehensive and covers most of the facilities available like ambulance services, hospitalization or long-term care, doctor visits, medicines, specialist care and dental services. It does not cover the expenses related to chiropractors, osteopaths, or psychologist consultations, and certain non-essential medications. The general healthcare scheme will reimburse about 60% of your medical expenses through your social security number. You can also buy complimentary insurance called 'mutuelle' to get better reimbursements and wider coverage.
