What can be done after B.Arch?

After completing B.Arch, there are multiple opportunities equally in private and public sectors. - Skilled professionals can seek employment in government organizations such as city development, state and central public work, departments, municipalities, housing and urban development corporation. - The most advantaged scope in the field of architecture is private practice. After gaining some experience in an organization, the architects can set up their own company. - Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. - A skilled architect, to work as a consultant or to set up private practice, should register with The Council of Architecture before beginning their profession. The Council of Architecture constituted by the Government of India is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects. - Individual architects or architectural practices can opt to specialize in one number of fields such as, hospital, housing or educational services. 2) One may work as : -Drafter -Consultant -Sales Engineer -Building Inspector -Consulting Engineer -Technical Architects -Construction Estimator -Professor Or Researcher -Construction Project Manager 3) Some of the top Indian organizations are : -Hafeez Contractor -Manchanda Associates -Architect Consultants -VSA Space Design (P) Ltd. -Edifice Architects Pvt.Ltd. -Chitra Vishwanath Architects 4) Salary : Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. But, to give you a brief idea, - Engineer in trainee level can expect income around Rs. 10000 - 12000 every month. - Within a short span of time, the salary can go up to Rs.15000 - 20000 every month depending upon the experience and the work. - In government sectors, the pay scale is not rewarding as the private sector. - Architects practicing through their own organizations could earn a lot, and this could be from thousands to lakhs. - Consultants charge somewhere around 4 - 10 percent of the total cost of construction in case of apartments and multi-storied buildings.
