According to my experience as I'm currently pursuing M.A. Economics. You should go with B.Com economics with Maths background or u can do B.A. Economics mathematics and Statistics subjects which will give you many more benefits not only Pursuing degree but also for various entrance exams like GATE e

As you already know, economics is an enormous field with a wide scope of growth. So in opinion I think You should opt B.Com with eco and after that pursue M.Com and u will find a great jobs in economic sector's.
