I'll tell you what I did as a 1st year BCA student. If you like, then you can follow up on that. Attend every lecture, BCA is such an easy course that if you attend your lectures regularly on daily basis and pay full attention, then you don't even need to go for tuitions or put in extra time in studying the same thing, and still you'll be able to secure good marks. So, don't skip lectures. Start learning new skills and courses which aren't covered in your BCA like website, game, application development, hacking, digital marketing or any other skill that interests you. It'll take time to learn these skills, but eventually it'll pay off

You can learn any programming language like C or C+. If you don't have the basic information of the computer then you can do some basic courses. If you are studying all of these very well and systematically in your institute, then you can improve your soft skills through technical communication, personality development process and debate/ GD. If you have very good skills but want to learn something extra then, you can do a certificate course related any language like French, German, Chinese and Japanese. You can do other certificate courses like cyber security and data management.
