What career options do I have in the field of animation and multimedia?

Animation and multimedia are not the same when it comes to career opportunities. If you become a multimedia designer, then you have a great chance to enter E-commerce giants like Flipkart, Amazon etc. as visual designer. As the medium is internet, you need to be good in handling all the multimedia elements namely images, text, video, audio, animation and interactivity. Becoming an animator is an altogether different career option. Most of the Animation savvy students will be keen to develop their own characters on screen and would like to create a full-fledged animation short film. So, their career choices would be more towards working for international animation films, television episodes for channels like Disney, Nick, Cartoon network etc. But, animation itself has become a medium and students should need to think beyond films and television for opportunities. I personally know hundreds of animation students who are in the fields of product design, walk through animators in interior design companies.
