Illinois Institute of Technology has different CGPA requirements for undergraduate and graduate international students. Undergraduate International applicants are required to submit a cumulative GPA of minimum 2.0 out of 4.0 and the graduate applicants are required to submit a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 to be considered for admissions.

Illinois Tech requires a four-year bachelor's degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for regular admission. Citizens and permanent residents of the United States with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 may be admitted as non-degree students.
