The following situations could result in a candidate's result being cancelled or withheld: Engage in unfair behaviours or employ unfair tactics. Examine JEE Main in a different centre than the one assigned. Permit someone else to write their exam.

- Indulge in unfair practices
- use unfair means
- Take JEE Main exam from a center other than the one allotted
- Allow another person to write their exam
