Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dhenkanal offers only two post-graduate courses, namely Postgraduation Diploma in English Journalism and Postgraduation Diploma in Odia Journalism. Postgraduation Diploma courses are specialised in Development Journalism for non-aligned and other developing countries to mid-career journalists. However, the duration of both the Postgraduation Diploma programs is one year.
