To earn a B.Sc. CVT, often applicants must enroll in specific undergraduate programs in allied health or paramedical faculty. Some of the course names are: B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology, B.Sc. Cardiac Care Technology, B.Sc. Perfusion Technology etc.

The basic standard criterion of eligibilities usually comprises the passing out of Class 12 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology that is PCB with 50 % average marks. Certain institutions may also accept candidates with Mathematics, in addition to PCB. It can be direct entry throughout course or through examination or tests administered by university or any medical college.
