First of all you have to clear JEE Mains with a good rank under 10k if you want to get into MNNIT with general category but here is no guarantee of getting your favorite branch. For this, you have to work hard.
Once your rank is out, wait for counseling and then fill the colleges in the priority you want to go to.
But at this time, I would suggest you to work hard and try to score as much marks as you can. "Do not shrink yourself to not only try, may be you will get a good IIT also.
Best of luck. -
For getting admission in NITs there are 3 steps:-
1. Clearing the JEE Mains exam.
2. Getting percentage more 75% or be in top 20 percentile of your respective boards
3. Filling the proper choice in counseling form and document verification.
If you want to take admission in your respective state domicile will a give a benefit (as more than 50% of sates are reserved for only state students). -

7 years agoFirst of all clearing JEE Mains is not enough for MNNIT admission. The admission is based on category and marks obtained and opening and closing ranks of every branch. The maximum rank for filling up the seat is somewhere around 18000 that too for biotechnology so you should get a rank within this limit. Marks should be around 250 or more for that. Thanks keep asking.
