    According to JEE Main reservation criteria 2023 in the NITs, 50% seats stand reserved under the home state quota for eligible candidates, while the rest of 50% are left for candidates of other states.

    NITs admit students to their B.Tech programs based on their JEE Mains scores. There are two categories in this admissions process, and separate closing ranks are announced for each. These are home-state and other-state quotas. The home state quota reserves 50% of the seats for all B.Tech courses, with the remaining 50% reserved for applicants from other states. According to the home-state quota, the student must have completed the 12th grade in the state where the NIT is situated.
