I will talk of Mechanical Engg. You can opt for teaching as profession. The best course shall be to opt for project engineering and design jobs with reputed organizations like L&T, UHDE, Toyo, Engineers India, Saipem.

After that you can go for job for learning of basics of it.and then go for further study.
