Irrigation is the process of applying water to the crops artificially to fulfil their water requirements. Nutrients may also be provided to the crops through irrigation. The various sources of water for irrigation are wells, ponds, lakes, canals, tube-wells and even dams.

Irrigation is also the process of artificially applying water to plants when rainfall is not sufficient enough to maintain a reliable source of crops.

Irrigation, also known as watering, is the agricultural method of applying a constrained quantity of water to land to support crops' cultivation.

Irrigation refers to the process of applying water to agricultural land in order to help crops grow. This can be done using a variety of methods, including surface irrigation (where water is distributed across the surface of the soil), sprinkler irrigation (where water is sprayed onto crops), or drip irrigation (where water is delivered directly to the roots of plants through a series of tubes and emitters). Irrigation is essential in many parts of the world to ensure that crops receive enough water to grow and thrive, especially in areas where rainfall is scarce or unreliable.

    Hi,
Irrigation is the method in which a controlled amount of water is supplied to plants at regular intervals for agriculture. It is used to assist in the growing of agricultural crops, maintenance of landscapes, and revegetation of disturbed soils in dry areas and during periods of inadequate rainfall.
