What do you mean by NDA?

Hi Akash, The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together before they go on to pre-commissioning training in their respective service academies. The NDA is located at Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world. NDA alumni have led and fought in every major conflict in which the Indian Armed Forces has been called to action since the academy was established. The alumni include 3 Param Vir Chakra recipients and 9 Ashoka Chakra recipients. National Defence Academy has produced 27 service Chiefs Of Staff till date. Current Chiefs Of Staff of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force are all NDA alumni. What is the Selection process of NDA & Naval Academy? Selection of NDA is done in three phases. Stage 1: Written test. This contains mathematics questions for 300 marks and general ability for test for 600 marks. Stage 2: Interview (Intelligence and Personality Test) for 900 marks. Stage 3: Medical Examination. Written test: The NDA written test is conducted in English medium in objective type. There is negative marking for wrong answers. Those qualified in the written exam are eligible for the interview. Those who are qualified in interview are sent for the medical examination. Candidates who have qualified in the fitness test are than selected to join the course. National Defence Academy Eligibility criteria: Army wing: Pass out with any intermediate group. Air force, navy and naval academy: Pass out of intermediate with maths and physics Age limit: 16 to 19 years Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. They should meet the physical parameters set by the board. Hi, NDA stands for National Defence Academy, which is a Defense Academy for the training of tri service personals. It include Air Force Navy army. Preparing in this examination, you should have cleared class 12th with minimum 60% marks with PCM for air force and navy and with any stream for army.
