Physical Science is a broad term encompassing the various branches of natural Science that study non-living systems. Physical Science comprises four general areas: physics, astronomy, chemistry, and the Earth sciences. Each of these is, in turn, split into fields and subfields. Physical science, the systematic study of the inorganic world, as distinct from the study of the organic world, which is the province of biological science. A good physical Science definition is the study of matter and energy. The two main branches of physical Science are chemistry and physics.
