When a ray of light falls on a plane shiny surface like glass, it goes back to that source from which it was coming in better way or in physics we say the medium from which it was coming. For example: light ray strike the glass from travelling through air and return back to air, this phenomenon of light is called as reflection of light.
    All the best.
