If you are having a 3 years Diploma, then you can take admission through lateral entry program directly into 2nd year for B.Tech. -
Lateral entry means the admission will be directly in the 2 year of the course program you have chosen. You do not have to take admission in 1 year you will be directed to 2 year of any undergraduate program.
Basically, for admission in lateral entry, some criteria must be fulfilled by the candidate. Example one should have completed the B.Sc or Diploma. Every college has different criteria for admission to lateral entry.
