The eligibility criteria to become Air Traffic controller in India is as follows: (a)Engineering Degree in Electronics / Tele Communication / Radio engineering / Electrical with specialisation in Electronics with Ist class (60%) or M.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio engineering as a special subject. (b)Lower age limit is 21 years, while the upper age limit is 27 years

This is that set of personnel who make the flying and lives safe of all passengers and crew of the aircraft during takeoff and landing of aircraft on the runway. ATC controls all traffic of Aircraft on ground on runway, it gives permission to start up and it gives permission to be in queue for takeoff and during landing.
