What does the rank in eligibility mean?

For example 2000.Does it mean only the first 2000 JEE main answered students will get admission?

Hi Vipul, Yes in every entrance exam they have an eligibilty that they accept the application till a particular rank. So if JEE Mains have stated that they accept application till rank 2000 then they will not accept the application who has got a rank of 2001. Feel free to raise more questions. A
