Either of the following qualification is required as:
1. M.Sc in statistics.
2. MBA finance.
3. M.Sc in finance.
4. MS in finance.
5. PGDM and required work experience in finance domain.
Some of good institutes is offering the certifications or short courses on data analyst are:
1. IIM – Lucknow.

You can try Indian Statistical Institute - Kolkata. At same time, you can try to learn some programming language, which can help you to do some modeling as well.
