Mother Teresa Women's University is recognized and approved by UGC and is accredited with an 'A' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 3.1. It is the only Women’s University of Tamil Nadu State Government. The university was established in 1984.
MTWU accepts MAT and TANCET entrance exams to get admission in the university.
