The requirements to go abroad depend on the chosen course, usually in the form of specific entrance exams for certain programme levels. Undergraduate requires either a SAT or an ACT exam, whereas postgraduate calls for GRE or GMAT exams, respectively. Finally, tests such as IELTS or TOEFL would be required of a foreign student if English is the medium of teaching at a given university. Requirements are quite specific to a given country or institution. For example, medical programs require an MCAT, while a law school requires an LSAT. Investigate your target colleges and universities to determine what entrance exams they require.
