Depending on the programme and degree of competition, New York University (NYU) has different GPA requirements for admission. Strong academic records are typically sought for by NYU, and most programs consider a GPA of 3.7 or above on a 4.0 scale to be competitive. But because the admissions process is comprehensive, other elements are taken into account as well, including as essays, recommendation letters, extracurricular activities, and standardised test results (if necessary). Higher GPAs might be expected for some extremely competitive programs, as those at the Tisch School of the Arts or Stern School of Business.
