What happens if a person does not take JEE Advanced just after passing class 12th? Will he/she be still remaining with 2 attempts?

I will qualify 12th in 2025 and want to take a drop. I will apply for JEE Mains and Advanced in 2026. Will it be counted as my first attempt? Will I be allowed to take another attempt in 2027?
