What happens if a student fails internal exams at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW)?

If a student fails in the exam then back comes in that subject which is called active back and that back is to be cleared by giving supplementary exam of that subject. After the back is cleared it is called dead back.
