What happens if a student fails internal exams in National Institute of Technology Sikkim?

<p>In NIT Sikkim, there are 3 internal exams in all. Two Mid-terms of 15 marks each and One End term of 50 marks and the rest 20 marks are awarded by the faculty on their own to the students according to different criteria like assignments, attendance, Viva, test etc. So if you want to have good marks you have to be hardworking and dedicated.&nbsp;</p><p>If someone fails in the internal exams especially there is no fail pass criteria in the Mid-term exams but in the End-tern exam there is a criteria that you have to score 17.5 in every subject out of 50 to clear your exams and in all you have to score 35 out of 100 in each subject to pass the subject. If you got 35 in each subject but you got less than 17.5 in any subject then you will be considered as fail and you will get a back in that subject. These are some of the new rules by UG which is aided by most of the NITs nowadays.</p>
