What happens if I reject my allotment in VIT counselling phase 1. Can I reapply in phase 2 for a better chance?

I got a rank of 5809 in VIT and I got CSE with specialisation in Bioinformatics in category 1, I am willing to apply for CSE (with no specialisation) in category 2 is it possible.

Yes, the seats which were not occupied in round 1 counselling, seats which were allotted in round 1 but were not accepted by the candidates who were allotted seats and seats which were cancelled due to ineligibility will be carried forward to subsequent counselling. Candidates participating in further rounds will be considered to fill the vacant seats.
