If there are vacant seats left after the 2nd round of counseling, such seats will be converted to general category. These seats will be filled in the 3rd round of counseling.

Yes, there is reservation of seats for specific categories in NIIFT. For instance, 85% of seats will be reserved for Punjab domicile candidates. Outside Punjab candidates will be considered for remaining 15% seats.

Yes, the counseling for 85% of seats for Punjab residence and 15% of seats for outside the Punjab will be conducted at the same time.However, reserved category candidates will be considered in General Category first before being considered in respective category.

The NIIFT counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds. Note that candidates who is not allotted a seat in the earlier rounds, will be considered in subsequent rounds
