Jamia Millia Islamia adopts certain policy to break the tie, if two candidates get the same scores in the JMI Entrance Exam. The tie breaking policy is made according to the programme. In all other programmes except B.Tech, B.Arch BDS the tie is resolved on the basis of the date of birth that is the candidates older in age is given the higher rank. For interview programmes, candidates securing high marks in the entrance exam is given higher rank. The JMI B.Des entrance exam has two stages: a written test and a portfolio review with an interview. The written test includes topics like general knowledge, drawing skills, design aptitude, logical reasoning, and English comprehension. To prepare, focus on sketching, creative thinking, current affairs, and building a strong design portfolio. Practice with NID/NIFT materials and reasoning books.
