During the IPU cutoff for 2023, the closing rank for the final round of admissions to the B.Tech. + M.Tech. programme in Computer Science Engineering was 17943. In the previous years, specifically in 2022 and 2021, the closing ranks for the last round were 15339 and 15515, respectively.

For B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, the JEE Main Round 1 closing rank was 31750 for the General AI category. For the same branch, the Round 1 closing rank was 42737 in 2025. So, considering the ranks, the competition has increased in 2026 for this branch as compared to 2025.
