    In recent years, the cutoff trend for BE at DY Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi has been falling. The final rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota in 2021 was 398312. It fell to 370252 in 2022. Similarly, the cut off ranks for OBC have changed from 398312 to 370252, SC from 398312 to 370252, ST from 398312 to 370252, EWS from 398312 to 370252, and PWD from 398312 to 370252. This trend is expected to continue in the future years as demand for engineering education in India grows. A similar cut-off tendency can be found for female applicants across all categories, however the rankings are slightly lower.

In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota was 398312. In 2022, it decreased to 370252. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 398312 to 370252 for OBC, 398312 to 370252 for SC, 398312 to 370252 for ST, 398312 to 370252 for EWS, 398312 to 370252 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow.
