For doing polythechnic, it is better to do B.Tech from recognized college, because it will benefit more for getting job with good salary than doing after Polytechnic. So, doing class 11th, class 12th after class 10th is good enough.

If you want to do engineering, then better ho for Polytechnic and get some practical knowledge rather than doing 11 and 12 Science and sitting in class for mostly theoretical knowledge.
    Good luck.

It would be better, if you go for some summer classes and have a basic computer knowledge or else learn anything like a game or dance etc. in which you have the interest. And, you can travel to some places where you can enjoy at the same time you can grow your knowledge.

See, after 10th, the level of 11th standard is much higher but its a simpler way to go and then, do your graduations like others are doing. But if you want to go for Diploma or Polytechnic, then that is next level of class 11th standard, if you can handle the course the go for it. It's better than doing simple 11th -12th. But try to do with good college like AMU, etc.
