Diploma and degree courses are different always and have distinct values. Diploma is of months or a year, but Bachelor's degree is generally of three years. If you are interested in event management field and want to make your career in this with a better paid job then I will suggest you go for BBA in event management, not Diploma as three-year degree course will have more value than Diploma.

Both, degree and Diploma are recognitions conferred to a person on the successful completion of an educational course. However, there are a lot of differences between the two and neither can be used in place of the other. I guess Diploma would greater scope than BBA. All the best.
