DM is a super-specialist doctor.
After finishing MBBS and MD some doctors choose to go for for an additional 3 years to become an expert in one focused area like -
- heart diseases (Cardiology)
- brain diseases (Neurology)
- cancer (Oncology)
These doctors then choose DM course in a focused area.
