In the TNEA application, the term "native place" refers to the place where the candidate or candidate's parents have been residing for the past five years. It is not related to the candidate's place of birth. The purpose of collecting this information is to determine the category (I. e. , local or non-local) to which the candidate belongs for the purpose of admission.
