What is aircraft maintenance engineering?

AMECEE ENTRANCE EXAM - Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is one of the branches of engineering that is an international licensed program. After pursuing this course, the student is eligible to certify the fit to fly condition of aircraft. AME has to monitor the major or minor maintenance and repair.

    Hello Amecee, aircraft maintenance engineering is actually not an engineering branch. This three year degree course after 12th leads to degree in Science, B.Sc. After successful completion of the course, student is eligible to appear for license exam conducted by DGCA. After successfully passing this exam, student can work as main person on civilian aircrafts. Best wishes to you.

    To prepare students to work as qualified aviation maintenance engineers, universities offer the Aircraft Maintenance Engg. The course normally includes both theoretical and practical instruction, covering subjects including aviation rules, maintenance practices, and aircraft systems.

    After completing Aircraft Maintenance Engg, which typically lasts 2400 hours, graduates will be prepared to pass the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation), Government of India licencing exam and become certified AMEs.
