The academic session at Lovely Professional University has two semesters for all the programs apart from MBA. First semester is from August to December and second is from January to may. In MBA, LPU follows the trimester system. The trimesters go as follows: first from August to October, second from November to February, and third trimester from March to May. Academic Session refers to the academic year at LPU. New academic session is the start of next year at LPU. One Academic Session comprises of two semesters. It is applicable in every course that LPU offers except MBA because at MBA trimester system is followed. One Tip : Make sure you clear all your subjects before moving on to the next academic session. As far as I come to know from LPU alumni, at LPU, an academic session means 10 months, 2 holidays months excluded. LPU offers 200+ programmes. The academic session comprises of 2 semesters in all programmes except MBA as it comprises of trimester. The Academic session 1st semester starts in the month of August and ends up in December and the second semester starts in the month of January and ends in May. At LPU summer and winter vacations are there so 2 holidays months includes those vacation period. LPU take care of students. At LPU the academic session followed mostly corresponds to the UGC guidelines only.

On the very first day, you will be welcomed with an induction session of 3 days and thereafter your classes will commence.
