1. Association with University
Autonomous institute is affiliated to a government university but does not follow its syllabus or curriculum. Ex- VJIT Mumbai, COEP Pune, etc.
Institute under deemed university is affiliated to a private university which has its own course structure. Ex- SPIT Mu
