    The biotechnology subject primarily deals with the research and applied aspects of biological processes. In respect to research in biotechnology, the B.Sc. In biotechnology will be a better option. However, if you want to work in an industrial process-related field, you can pursue a B.Tech in biotechnology.
    1. The B.Tech in biotechnology covers both Science as well as engineering subjects like genetics, bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, etc.
    2. On the other hand B.Sc. In biotechnology deals with the research and development in biological sciences such as biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Microbial Genetics, etc.

    There are many differences between B.Tech biotechnology and B.Sc. Biotechnology. B.Tech is a 4-year course while B.Sc. is a 3 year course. In B.Tech Biotechnology you will learn about other branches of engineering also in your first year whereas in B.Sc. Biotechnology you will directly learn about your core subjects. Of course you will also get exposure about other Science subjects but your course will have maximum papers from your honours paper.
