what is better bsc from reputed college or b.tech from newly established college?

i'm doing bsc in phy.i wanted to do my msc from iit-b after qualifying JAM but the thing is i'm not applicable for this bcoz the requirement is they want maths as one of the subject for at least 2 sem.and i've not taken maths.nw my parents told me to do engg frm a cg established in 2011 not reputed
