    Out of these two universities CU has the best mathematics department. The mathematics of the university programme impart scientific skills and the ability to understand broad applications of the subject

As Chandigarh University has Emphasis on pure & applied mathematics paired with computational applications, Excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary research in collaboration with departments of Engineering, Chemistry, Physics & Management.
