Hi,
CAT, MAT and XAT are the MBA entrance test, it is taken by students who wish to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program offered various B-schools in India.
CAT test is held every year in during October.
XAT test is held every year during January.
MAT test is usually conducted 4 times in a year in

Different exam forms for various B schools!
cat : for iims but also used by non iims
xat : for xlri,xime,ximb,xiss etc
