What is CDS and what kind of job is offered after clearing the exam?

CDS is a Combined Defence Services Examination conducted by UPSC Union Public Service Commission twice a year probably in February and in October/November. It is a written examination consisting of three papers Maths Gk and English it is a multiple choices question paper. After Clearing the written examination. You get a chance to appear in SSB I. e. Service Selection Board Interviews. And once you are through with it you are required to get training through prestigious institutions of Army, Airforce or Navy whichever you give the preference for. Then after completing the training you are posted as a Officer in the Armed Forces.
